This notice explains how we process your personal data when you submit a tattoo appointment or initial consultation request through Instagram direct messages or the Collector Appointment Form at matclassink.com.
1. Data controller
Under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK), the data controller is Hanifi Kartal, operating under the name Mat.
2. Information we collect, why we use it, and our legal basis
We process the following information through both application channels.
We collect this information directly from you through the web form or Instagram messaging, using partially automated means. We use it to review your request, contact you, provide pricing information and arrange an initial consultation or appointment. We use your age to check that you meet the minimum age requirement of 18. We use your photos and reference images to assess the area to be tattooed and understand your design request.
We process your application data under Article 5(2)(c) of the KVKK to the extent that it is directly related to and necessary for entering into a contract for tattoo services. We obtain your separate explicit consent before publishing any application images that contain personal data in our portfolio or advertising.
Applications are open to people aged 18 or over. Please do not include health information, identity documents, payment details or information that identifies other people in your application.
3. Sharing your information
The application information and images you send through Instagram are transmitted through Meta’s Instagram infrastructure to enable messaging. The information and attachments you submit through the web form are processed through GoDaddy Websites + Marketing to receive and deliver your application and allow us to access form records.
Web form notifications are sent to matclassink@gmail.com. These notifications and email correspondence are processed through Google’s Gmail service so we can receive and respond to applications. These communications may be processed in Google’s data centres outside Türkiye as part of its email service.
We use Google reCAPTCHA to protect the web form against automated submissions.
Where required by law, we may share relevant information with competent public authorities to fulfil the applicable legal obligation. We do not sell your application data.
4. Retention and deletion
If your request does not lead to a booking, we retain your information for as long as needed to review it and let you know the outcome. If your request leads to a booking, we retain the information for as long as needed to manage the appointment. Where a legal retention obligation applies, we keep the relevant records for the period required by law.
When the grounds for processing no longer apply, we delete, destroy or anonymise your data in the relevant systems. If your data has been transferred to another recipient, we notify that recipient and ensure that the necessary steps are taken when the conditions under the KVKK are met. 5. Your rights and how to contact us
To exercise your rights under Article 11 of the KVKK, you may submit a request to matclassink@gmail.com from an email address you previously provided to us and that we hold on record. You can also use this contact address to request our postal address for written submissions. We will resolve your request as soon as its nature allows and no later than 30 days.
